PREPARE TO BE REFRIGERATED.
JERKS.
everything goes cold is the newest project by eric gottesman. you might remember him from such bands as see colin slash, psyclon nine, deathline int'l, and as an occasional live member of ayria, caustic, and average white band. that last one was a lie.
following the epic highlander-esque battle that ended see colin slash in 2003, eric began developing EGC as a serious attempt to revive traditional and archetypal aspects of industrial music that had been ignored or unfairly maligned in recent years.
this idea soon proved dumb.
after coming to his senses, eric re-imagined the project as an all-powerful and totally rad conglomeration of the best aspects of his diverse work over the past decade. now incorporating the songwriting and stylistic calling cards of classic american industrial rock and coldwave with aspects of futurepop, powernoise, and modern EBM, everything goes cold has begun its ascent to INDUSTRIAL SUPERSTARDOM. where by "INDUSTRIAL SUPERSTARDOM" i mean, of course, "SELLING MORE THAN 38 COPIES OF AN ALBUM."
everything goes cold remixes can be heard on releases from ayria, funeral diner, terrorfakt, and unter null. there's also a ridiculous collaborative track with caustic on both special editions of "booze up and riot". with a full live lineup, EGC has shared the stage with combichrist and babyland.
both of those live appearances featured totally awesome equipment failures. stupid technology.
following the long-anticipated release of the songs in the key of death compilation, compiled by eric in conjunction with crunch pod and featurinng the first broad release of an everything goes cold track, the band will release an EP, "prepare to be refrigerated", on sonic mainline in spring of 2008. featuring 5 all-new tracks (including a new version of the #1 club smash "i've sold your organs on the black market to finance the purchase of a used minivan", where by "club smash" i mean "song that has, at some point, been played in a club") and remixes by some of the MOST POWERFUL BANDS IN THE UNIVERSE, "prepare to be refrigerated" will be the greatest CD you own. until the full album comes out some time later.
